Aly Swengel, DWC Director

BA, LMT, 200 E-RYT, 500 RYT, YACEP

Aly Swengel began her wellness journey as a teenager in chronic pain and suffering from depression. At 16 years old, eastern philosophy and yoga began to shift Aly's physical and spiritual understanding of herself .

Since 2008 Aly has studied yoga and massage therapy and worked in private practice to help others gain a deeper understanding of their physiology and how to manage their energy to create alignment in their nervous systems and lives.

Aly is the director of the Decatur Wellness Collective, an organization that focuses on the wellness of its clients and the physical, spiritual, mental and financial health of its practitioners.

Aly’s 16 year yoga practice has taught her how to manage her energy to prevent burnout, head off anxiety and prevent depression. Yoga cultivates a deeper understanding of how to use physiology to create desired mental states and support allopathic care. As a yoga teacher trainer, Aly sees incredible benefits for allopathic medical practitioners to dive in to mind body practices to help bolster their own wellness and elevate the wellness of their clients.

Tanya Kelly

LMT, ERYT200, CYT 500

Tanya practices therapeutic massage with a specialization in Abdominal Therapy (Maya Abdominal Massage) She is a lifelong learner who enjoys connecting multiple modalities to create an empowered healing experience. She has a passion for demystifying the body so that her clients better understand their body and its healing processes. This is especially important to her because her learning process has been sparked by her own physical challenges.

Tanya’s areas of study have included yoga, breath work, movement, pain science, anatomy with deeper dives into plantar fasciitis and foot pain, back pain, core and pelvic floor function, scar work and abdominal massage. She understands that many common challenges of “normal aging” can be successfully addressed through movement, mindfulness and massage.

Tanya loves working with clients who are curious, willing to explore both modern and ancient traditional healing methods and who want to live more fully. “ITs about being able to take walks, get up and down from the floor and live life in the way that you want”.

Libby Pasquariello

MSN/ED, RN, HWNC-BC

Libby Pasquariello, MSN/ED, RN, HWNC-BC, is a health coach, educator, and patient advocate.  A registered nurse for twenty years now, she spent the first ten of those working with adult clients in mental health care settings.  During this time, she experienced the beauty of nursing through the interpersonal connections made with clients and families, but she also recognized the limits of the health care system.  She returned to complete graduate education as a nurse educator and has spent the last decade teaching in higher education.  After earning certification as a health coach nurse, now she aims to connect with individuals and small groups seeking to improve their overall wellness and quality of life.  She believes that illness and wellness lie on a spectrum and absence of illness does not always mean wellness.  There is a gap between the care provided by the traditional health care system and people’s daily lifestyles and this is where health coaching with a nurse can provide a bridge.

The Quiet Cornerstones of Well-Being:  Libby believes stress relief and the power of rest are undervalued in today’s society, resulting in a culture that celebrates busyness over quality of life.  She believes finding joy and cultivating a sense of playful curiosity about life are tangible skills for anyone seeking to improve their overall wellbeing and quality of life.  And she believes YOU should be the one to define what wellness looks like for you.

She is excited to work with…

  • Individuals who are ready, motivated, and seeking 1:1 support for lifestyle change.
  • Small groups looking for wellness education and support through shared accountability.
  • Companies seeking to bring a culture of mindfulness and wellbeing into their workplaces.

Caswyn Oaks

LMT

Caswyn was introduced to the idea of massage therapy at a young age.  His mother became a massage therapist to help his brother, who suffered from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Growing up with a disabled brother and dealing with his own ADHD and anxiety, Caswyn realized just how much your mental state and events in your life can affect how much pain you are in; and how that pain can then affect your mind-state. His TMJD, migraines, and joint pain- developed from chronic anxiety- have been a huge motivation for his study of massage therapy.

He went to Myotherapy Massage College of Utah and graduated in 2019. With experience in both the therapeutic and relaxation massage fields, he has learned to combine techniques to help with physical pain, anxiety and overstimulation.

Caswyn currently is accepting new clients on Thursdays and select Saturdays.

Caswyn offers a variety of appointments including TMJ/Headache relief, myofasical massage & relaxation massage.
